The Blessing For Generational Thinkers

How happy is everyone who fears Adonai,
who lives by His ways.

You will eat what your hands have produced;
you will be happy and prosperous.
Your wife will be like a fruitful vine
in the inner parts of your house.
Your children around the table will be
like shoots from an olive tree.

This is the kind of blessing that will fall
on him who fears Adonai.

May Adonai bless you from Tziyon!
May you see Yerushalayim prosper
all the days of your life,
and may you live to see your children's children!

Shalom on Isra'el.

Psalms 128

Our family has made the decision to be generational thinkers.  Our actions today will affect the generations to come.  This has been proven time and time again in history.  It is a subject that is dear to our hearts based on serious mistakes that both my husband and I had made in the past.  Interestingly enough, wrong choices always start with wrong thinking.  And wrong thinking is always contrary to the Word of God which I have heard lovingly described as the "Manual For Life."

We have become quite sensitive to the future of each of our children.  Though at times it may appear on all outward accounts that there is nothing that can be done, when we apply the Word of God to that situation and humble ourselves in fervent prayer on their behalf, God is always faithful.  His Word never returns void, His promises are true and His blessings are for those that truly fear Him and choose to walk in righteousness.

I have listed below some commentaries for this beautiful passage of Scripture.  I encourage you to read them and allow God to move in your life and in the life of your family.  Generational thinking is a blessing for your children and the many generations after them.  It must start with someone, will is start with you?
