2011 Blogging Party

http://www.5minutesformom.com/34651/ultimate-blog-party-2011/
Welcome to my new blog!  I have only been writing for little over a week now and this has been a learning experience!  I am brushing up on my writing skills after leaving them dormant for nearly a decade while learning to navigate this site.  I even went so far as to checkout books at the Library to try and get this blogging idea done right.  But, as you can see...for the most part, it is turning out just fine.

Let me tell you a little bit about me and then about this blog.  I really hope to meet some new like minded women and eventually have acquaintances turn into lasting friendships.  I am a newlywed stay at home wife and home educator of my two sons.  I take both roles very seriously. I am a Disciple of Christ and believe the Bible from cover to cover.  I believe in Creation and that Yeshua is the only way to Heaven.  I believe in conforming my life to the Word of God and not the other way around.  I love "real" people!  I love people that are willing to go outside of the culture norm to be who God created them to be, instead of conforming (conned into a form) to someone else's standards.

A bit about my blog...I do not really have one vein that I want to stick with.  Different topics interest me and I like to discuss different ideas from the news, culture, the Bible, books, movies, children, what it means to live as a Biblical Woman, science, history and the list goes on and on!  I love to cook and bake and so eventually there will be recipes coming with reviews on whether or not my children (who may be the pickiest eaters in the world) liked them or not.  Reading is my passion and you will find book reviews coming soon.  You will see personal views and other worldviews that I would love to discuss, I love to know what drives different people...like my sons are interested in the workings of machines.

You will find me mentioning my Mother (who passed away a little over 3 years ago), my two Grandmothers (who are still alive) and my Maternal Great-Grandmother (who passed away eleven years ago) quite often.  They embodied the Proverbs 31 and Titus 2 Women of the Bible and yet, they are human with short comings just like the rest of us!  They are such an inspiration to me, I want to share them with you as well...each of them in their own right are and were a true treasure!

I hope that you will take some time and read a few of my posts.  I do hope to connect with more like-minded women in the near future.  I pray that your time here will be a blessing to you and that you will be given new thoughts to think and a sense that even everyday life can be an adventure!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Zwieg

Country Gal, yes, I do feel truly blessed to have resources to draw on. Sometimes it just helps to have a shoulder to lean on when things seem a bit overwhelming and I praise God for my Grandmothers!

Valencia, thank you so very much for the compliment! I look forward to helping to add a bit of beauty to your day when you stop by!

Hi! I'm stopping by to say hi from the UBP - #73 (Being Made New) on the Christian list. You and I seem to have lots in common, though I don't approach my sold-out commitment to the Lord from a Jewish Roots perspective. I hope you can stop by and say hi: http://tinahollenbeck.blogspot.com.
