Made In The USA To Celebrate Independence Day

The Fourth of July is quickly approaching!  How will your family celebrate?  Our family just moved to Texas in the last few weeks from Minnesota, but even in Minnesota, the weather was always very hot and humid on the Fourth of July.  We are going to celebrate with a cook-out (I LOVE grilled zucchini), most likely take the kids swimming in a nearby lake, and then finish the night off with the Austin Symphony that will be playing during the fireworks at Lady Bird Lake!  I am hoping for some really great pictures to share with everyone!  I would love to hear what your plans will be!

We have made so many changes as a family in our eating habits recently that this Fourth of July will be a bit different from the last several.  First off, we are using only Wood Briquettes to grill with after I was made aware that normal charcoal briquettes are made from old tires (that cannot possibly be healthy).  More olive oil, less butter and no margarine.  More veggies and less meat.  And of course, less processed sugar and more healthy natural sugar such as fruit.  We are all already water drinkers so we have nothing to change there.

Along with those changes, we also are changing the way we are consuming products.  We have made the tough decision to buy USA made products whenever possible and try and find things used or else make it ourselves when we cannot find "Made In The USA" products.  This means more farmer's markets and local food co-op's and less huge grocery stores (of course this does not work for everything).  As well as alot more time searching for "Made in the USA" companies.  We want to support American families as much as possible by doing our part to keep them employed.

One of my very favorite USA companies is Jacob Bromwell!  I love that they have been around since 1819 and they have also carried a lifetime guarantee since 1819.  Not only that, their products are things that will help to build family memories as well as promote a healthy lifestyle.  That is something to be very proud of and they have me hooked as a lifetime customer!

Let me share a few of my favorite products with you:

Authentic Campfire Oven

Original Popcorn Popper

The Signature Chestnut Roaster

2. more energy efficient.
3. the product has undergone our standards of testing before being released to the public.
